Based (and established) in Perth, Western Australia, Foxy Beginnings also has team members operating out of Sydney and Singapore and artisans throughout the developing world.
We are committed to providing our customers with high quality, ethically handmade children’s toys which have been produced by Cottage Industry artisans; which are small-scale, decentralized manufacturers often operating out of their homes (as opposed to large-scale manufacturing at a purpose-built facility).
Our products are virtually free of any plastic and we do not use any plastic packaging besides the necessary postage bags. Every single order we receive is celebrated and lovingly packed before being sent to our customers, all over the world.
We encourage our customers to be conscious of the products they purchase and where they come from. By buying from and supporting small businesses, you truly have the power to positively impact lives.
SUSTAINABILITY
So many of our values at Foxy Beginnings are intrinsically linked to our passion for sustainability and this quote - from an article by BluGlacier - provides some beautiful insight into it's value in business and the impact it can have for future generations. We don't just focus on using natural and sustainable materials for our keepsakes (although that's an important part of our business); we also practice transparency about our processes, we ensure our artisans and employees are fairly compensated and we are constantly looking for ways to expand our philanthopic efforts to the benefit others.

Sustainability has three main pillars - economic, environmental, and social - and is most often defined as meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet theirs.

ETHICAL & TRADITIONAL MANUFACTURING
We train and employ a network of female artisans from around the world, particularly from third world countries. By helping these women establish better working conditions, we enable them to keep their traditional sewing skills and trends alive, whilst also being able to provide for their families and empower themselves with the respect and dignity they deserve.

Mana’s personal passion has always been to impact the lives of the less fortunate for the better - especially women in developing countries, who have to battle adversity on a daily basis.
To ensure that she could make a positive change in lives of those women, Mana founded a business where she could hire and train them to ethically handcraft beautiful, eco-friendly and sustainable children's toys of the highest quality. Through this initiative, Foxy Beginnings is able to provide them with a sustained income and financial independence - a rare commodity in these countries for women, particularly after they become mothers.
CHANGING LIVES
PARTNERING TO ENACT REAL CHANGE
In mid 2021, Foxy Beginnings was proud to announce our new partnership with Yayasan Team Action Amed - a collaboration to provide desperately needed infrastructure in the village of Amed, in order to be able to train local women to join our Foxy Team. This philanthropic effort will provide essential and short term relief for families impacted by COVID, whilst also building a foundation for a long term improvement in Amed.
Part of this new philanthropic effort was the introduction of a new - and very unique - product, the beautiful Freyja Charity Bunny. We endeavored to create a new style of Foxy keepsake from which we could donate 100% of proceeds to a deserving charity. The communities supported by YTAA are full of women who need the opportunities that we can provide, but they lack the materials, tools and infrastructure to be able to join the Foxy Family. By allocating the funds raised from the sale of our Freyja Charity Bunny, we can establish the necessary framework and empower these women to be able to support themselves and their families.
